Career Counseling
Vocational guidance and proper guidance to find the academic field and subsequent professional career are important components of secondary education. At a critical developmental stage (adolescence), under the high learning guidelines of the Lyceum and the stress of exams, every young person needs the scientific help and support of experts in order to 1) find his preferences, based on his interests, 2 ) to set achievable goals, based on the learning level and 3) to choose the right professional direction for him, taking into account the ever-changing labor market and working conditions and 4) to obtain, a strong motivation for his success in the exams.
Our tutoring center collaborates with specialized vocational guidance centers in order to guide both our students and their families in making important decisions for their future. At the first level, each student is asked to answer a number of questions so that the vocational guidance specialists can thoroughly analyze:
- His / Her desires, dreams, interests, preferences
- His / Her inclinations, skills and abilities
- His / Her thoughts on his student and work future
- The goals, the ideals, the beliefs, the social and professional values that he stands for and is willing to pursue
The test results are sent to the students and their families while our specialist partners are at their disposal for further questions and clarifications. If the student wishes, he can also request a second stage of analysis aimed at investigating his mental characteristics (psychometric tests), his ability to manage his stress under pressure, his ability to take risks, as well as other factors which ultimately form an overall assessment of his personality.
Mixanografiko Deltio
After the completion of the Panhellenic Examinations, students are required to complete a custom admission form called “Mixanografiko Deltio”, a process that is demanding and binding, which unfortunately often overshadows its importance by the examinations themselves.
At Gotoclass, we believe that our relationship with students does not end with the exams and for this reason we support them at this critical moment of the transition from middle school to academic education. We inform and advise our students about their options, having excellent knowledge of: 1) the subject of each faculty, 2) the differences between the departments and directions of each University, 3) the differences between faculties of the same subject of different universities and cities and 4) the perspectives and possibilities offered in each faculty (postgraduate – professional rehabilitation).
Based on the dreams, interests and preferences of each student, as they have emerged from the professional orientation process, we help to fill out the admission form correctly, avoiding the frequent and important mistakes that are made.
